Frequently asked questions

Does the B One work as a primary router or only as backup?
Both. The B One can run either cellular or wired WAN as your primary connection, with the other as backup, or you can bond them together for higher throughput. Most branch deployments use fiber or cable as the primary connection with cellular as automatic failover.

Can both SIM slots be active at the same time?
No. The B One Plus and B One 5G have a single modem with two SIM slots. You can load two SIM cards for automatic failover between carriers, but only one is active at a time. For dual-modem bonding, look at the MAX BR2 or HD series.

Is the B One compatible with Starlink?
Yes. You can connect Starlink to any WAN port and the B One will manage it like any other WAN connection. You can also load balance Starlink with a second connection, bond multiple Starlink dishes, and apply WAN Smoothing to smooth out interruptions.

Is the B One 5G ready for Private 5G?
Yes. SA mode support means the 5G modem works on enterprise Private 5G networks, plug-and-play with carrier Private 5G offerings.
